Will Grier will learn behind Allen. We are still technically in the playoff race and Allen gives us the best chance to make the playoffs. Once we are eliminated from the playoffs, then expect to see Grier.

I really don't think so. Maybe next season.

Come on now Igo, we got to turn it around. I honestly don’t want to see Grier next year either. When can we get back to having a winning season.

Why? Do we have any clue whatsoever what Grier brings to the table? I don't think we do. I don't think anyone does yet.

I suppose I have defaulted to the fact that if Grier comes in, we are losing. I have no idea what he could bring to the table.

Marty has said 2019 was going to be a learning year for Grier. No matter what, he would not be starting.

I know we should not invoke the name of Clausen here, but Marty may remember the thrashing Clausen took his rookie year and the loss of confidence that probably effected his entire career as a result.

Thank you for the clarification.

It’s still hard trying to justify drafting him when we did. I thought Hurney viewed him as a viable option If Cam were to get injured again. (Which he did)

Grier was basically a 4th round selection. Every team had already selected their 3rd rounder.

I don't see a QB you want to groom long term hard to justify at that selection.

I have a pretty good idea what he brings to the at the moment. I watched him like a hawk every day at camp. He needs a lot of work.
