I really don’t see Allen as a second year player. This is basically his rookie season. And I really don’t put much into a qb’s numbers when they’re starting for the first time, a lot of HOFers had miserable rookie starts

When we were winning, Allen's numbers were all that mattered.

A couple of losses, and suddenly we shouldn't put a lot of stock in their value.

Quarterbacks can play poorly in wins and play well in losses.

Probably because Allen has more talent and more familiarity with the offense being with the Panthers in 2018.

QBs used to always sit a year before they started, really its the last few years that rookie QBs starting at the NFL level is a thing. even this team there were murmurs of maybe Cam would sit for a year behind Jimmy Clausen of all people

Here's a hot take. Kyle Allen = Kyle Allen. Whatever that means will be redefined with every snap/game he plays.

What I hope is that someday an up and coming QB is referred to as "possibly the next Kyle Allen."
