Right I get that Ryan said it, it's just dumb. He's also the only analyst I think I've *ever* heard say that Luke has been playing poorly.

i wouldn't be surprised if he just watches highlights while eating wings at hooters, well i'd be surprised if that's not what he does

Luke is just fine. He’s just been plugged into a 34 front that makes absolutely no sense for his lateral play making ability.

Considering we've ran more 4-3 since KK has gone out.

OL are getting to Luke easy as can be.  Poe nkt lining up over the Center as a 3-4 NT and sliding him down.  And without KK+McCoy on either side has been the problem.  Then we're running smaller 3-4OLB forcing to 4-3DEs now.  Luke hasnt lost a step or scheme hurting him, we've been back in the 4-3 mostly for the last few weeks.  He's just getting hammered by OL

While I wasn't expecting Paradis to be as good as the Mack signing in Atlanta  a few years ago, I was expecting him to be a hell of a lot better than this.  Trai Turner is overpaid.

It's fair to say Turner earned a payday.

But his performance since he received it? Yikes!

It happens. Guys get paid and the performance that got them paid goes bye-bye.

matt paradis is low key one of the most disappointing free agent signings in team history

I agree but I do think he’s been improving lately so maybe he just needs some time to get over the injury and also to help with our OL and fit in our scheme.

Has anyone else felt Luke's play has fallen off this year? Maybe it's the defensive line's lack of gap disciple but he seems less able to shed blocks than years passed.

He's also having to work more pass coverage than in year's past. He's the best defender on the field and he's always having to cover for someone else's deficiencies.

My general thoughts, that OL has to be fixed. Period.

I think, outside of Center, we're getting there. Daley has been a good find and I think he keeps improving. GVR is very quickly coming into being a vital part of that line. Moton is, honestly, just what we need at RT. Our problem is at center, I don't think Paradis is working out. And Trai... dang Trai, that's on you (to quote Cam once) buddy, because you aren't where you used to be.

They ran a good bit of 34 on Sunday.

They ran it a little.  But mostly 4-3.  Rivera even mentioned it a few weeks back after losing KK that they would mostly run a 4-3 once KK was out.

They actually seemed to run it more v GB than they did against TEN. I’d have to dig deeper to find out, but on first and second downs, it was prevalent on Sunday. This was all from one series in the first half.
