Nick Wright: If Panthers move on from Cam, they’ll be drafting a QB in first round of 2021 draft

It didn't.  It hasn't looked "good" with exception of a handful of games since the initial injury.  He has been playing through pain for 2 seasons now.  I fear his shoulder will never last a full season ever again.  I am betting Tepper thinks the same thing.

Same shoulder repaired twice....it won’t hold up a full season.

Half those guys you named aren't starters really.. depth guys. Like Irvining replacement burns is already on the roster. Addison I dout we let walk if we do Haynes has proven adequate in the pass rush. Hogan already hadn't playing. Butler will be replaced with short. Only real loss if they dont resign is shaq and addison lol.

Not sure if this team can afford giving Addison who will be 33 next year 11+ million

This would be fuging stupid considering we’ll be drafting towards the middle.

Tua - injury prone

Jalen Hurts - good but most view him as a 2nd or 3rd round guy

Justin Herbert - a much less impressive Marcus Mariotta

Jake Fromm - would be another Jimmy Clausen/Aaron Murray. Dude will be in the XFL before you know it.

Joe Burrow - I urge people to remember his performance last year and ask why he had to transfer in the first place (couldn’t win the starting gig). Could easily be a ‘system’ quarterback in LSU’s new scheme. He’s a lesser Matt Stafford.

Quarterback is maybe our 6th highest need. I’d rather have someone who can stop the damn run. Being good pass rushers is cool... if you can get them to passing downs. Our OL is still a glaring liability. Our receivers are still average at best without any true Beckham/Evans/Julio/Thomas type WR1. Dear lord we need younger safeties who can wrap up when they tackle. Hell, if Gano isn’t going to be good to go then kicker might be a bigger concern.

Whether its Allen or Cam, this team hasn’t been well built. Teams are supposed to be built up front and then out from there (OL/DL) but two of our glaring issues are our OL which at best occasionally looks average, and our DL which will need a lot of resigning and has utterly failed us against the run.

I think Cam can be healthy again. I hope Cam can be healthy again. I definitely don't want to see a healthy Cam Newton as a star elsewhere because I will have very, very, very, very, very hard feelings towards ownership about that.

Pretty funny seeing some fans believing Cam will come back healthy.

He wouldn’t have had a snap fumbled and red zone INT

How many fumbles did Tom Brady have his first year or so? How many INTs did Peyton Manning, Troy Aikman, and others have? You dont know what Lawrence will do in the NFL. He has thrown 8 picks this season in college, so I'm sure he will throw his share in the NFL. The truth is that KA has  had his good moments and bad moments. He is certainly improving in some key areas. He might be the next Kurt Cousins, but he also may be the next Brady. Too early to tell.

Why s that funny? The foot this the first it's been hurt. Could be a random freak accident. Olsen came back from it and seems fine. The shoulder well his arm seemed fine in the preseason and in camp. This added year off could only help that cause. The smart money is to let cam play out that mesly 19 million and see what he has left in the tank.

Lawrence will be a 12+ yr QB in this league. Allen will be lucky if he can be a Mike Glennon backup

Well you agree Kap is a good quarterback then. Win loss wise.

How so?

While I think wins/losses are a limited way to "evaluate" any player, it is worth noting that Kap's last season was 1-10, is 2nd to last season was 2-6 and nearly half of his 28 wins (compared to 30 losses) were in a single season.  Thus, he is not a good example of a bad QB with a good w/l record... just like The Golden Calf of Bristol wasn't... I also never thought Kap was as bad as some did.  The wheels really came off that SF team and I found it hard to blame him personally.

His arm was fine but then he was throwing bricks in week 1 and week 2. The foot injury came out of no where after week 2
