How many "make it or break it" years are Ron and Hurney going to get? Excuses have to stop at some point. Next year a whole new list of excuses will pop up. Hopefully Tepper sees through that. If not, then I will start questioning whether Tepper really even wants to win.

And I wouldn't mind another defensive guy at HC as long as he's up to date with the NFL and willing to bring in a competent OC that can man that side. And........you know.........ACTUALLY ABLE TO FIELD A TOP 10 DEFENSE CONSISTENTLY.

You hit the jackpot

If Ron Rivera wins 10+ games w/ Kyle Allen.....the moment he becomes available he will be the next coach hired in the NFL.

it is WAY easier to end up with worse than better than Ron.  Just a fact proven every year. Tepper knows that too.   Tepper also is a Pittsburgh guy.   I just don't see Tepper blowing it all up if this team does what they could do.

Look at the NFL hires in the last 5 years.  How many have been worse than Ron vs better?

This is true, but do you know what is worse than shitting the bed like all those failed hires? Football purgatory. Unlike many teams, in recent history Panthers have been hitting whenever picking inside the top 10 and especially the top 5. With RR this team is destined to be stuck at the 7-9/8-8 range with the lucky 10-6 or better with a couple playoff births. Meaning we pick in the lower part of the draft and this team has never built championship caliber teams from free agency. Even if firing RR means becoming irrelevant and weak moth for a couple years, I would still rather go through that baptism by flames to ashes betting the odd chance of coming out of it like a phoenix. Hell! Thats how we got Cam and I think that time has finally come to do it again.

Do you want to stay in mediocrity the next 3 years? We've had nearly a decade to evaluate Rivera. Newsflash, he's not good enough and still hasn't learned from his mistakes in year 9. Time to move on.

I honestly can't wait for a new coach to come in, good or bad, and everyone finds a new reason why this coach is bad and should be replaced.

I get keeping Ron as much as i get firing him but y'all act like a coaching Change is a garunteed fix.

Even coaches like Pederson and McVay are showing their flaws, and I beat half this board watching their runs thought "God I wish that were us."

A shiny new you isn't always better.

You're speaking the straight truth, but man, this crowd has their pitchforks and torches out. It's near impossible to make them put them away again.

I think Ron stays and I'd fear where we'd wind up if he doesn't.

Really doesn’t take much to be a Ron Rivera. The new HC just need to miss the playoff and win 7-9 games. He’d be just as good.

You want a real off the wall idea.

And its kind of the way the NFL is going with offensive minded.

Young hot shot QB coach/OC doesn't matter experience.

3 of the latest NFL hires have been

Bengals: Zac Taylor- Was QB coach under McVay in LA

Cardinals: Kingsbury- fired from his college gig, but QB coach/offensive minded

Rams- McVay

Teams are trending towards that young QB coach as HC then just hire a vet DC to handle that side

See Wade Phillips pairing with Mcvay, Vance Joseph with Kingsbury..

So

Go get Joe Brady, LSU's OC/QB coach is responsible for Joe Burrow and the turnaround of LSU's offense.  A LSU offense that has been as Vanilla as the John Fox era for 30+ years and turned it to the greatest show on turf overnight.  Brady was also on Sean Payton's staff in New Orleans as a offensive assistant the previous 2 seasons.

Bring in Brady as HC and then find the salty vet DC to have his back, control the D, and help mentor Brady if needed.

If he can turn Joe Burrow, who was beat out by trash Ohio State QBs and had to transfer.   And turn him into the Lock for the #1 pick.  Im sure he can do just fine with Allen and Grier.
