You wanted the list. I gave you the list.

Kitchens should’ve never been a HC. He got it bc he was friend with Baker. Flores is put in a no win situation. Verdict is still out on Fangio and Zac; I think they can be good.

Now, Shurmur and Gase should’ve never gotten another chance to be HC. Arians has a better resume’ which I guess he deserved it. But guess what all three got in common? RETREAD

My list is better than your list. Drop mic

Butterfingers.

Your list wasn't better, it was cherry-picked and proven to have some short-lived successes there.

The most important list is "who would be available" and quite a few of those losers will be. The winners won't.

Right now the odds are better than a replacement coach will be much worse than RR. Right now, he's coaching his butt off and getting wins from a team half-made up of second stringers and even a third stringer or two as starters. That kind of coach doesn't just appear out of nowhere like Bagger Vance rolling in from the mists of Augusta.

Here's that mic you dropped, you might want to use both hands, it's a bit bigger than you're used to.

The defense I'm watching on Sundays doesn't say "coaching his butt off" to me.

We still can't beat good teams, only bad to mediocre ones.

Allen has done good things with little talent in NO. Kinda opposite of Rivera.

I never denied Dennis Allen as a defensive coordinator. Just as a HC. That is the most dangerous part of hiring a new HC. Some guys are made to be great coordinators like Wade Phillips. Tepper has to find the right man than can become a HC, not some hot name coordinator that will flunk. And Dennis Allen has done that successfully for the Raiders. I want the next John Harbaugh who was a ST coordinator before being a HC.

Rivera is the definition of mediocre. Great guy personally, but being a consistent coach to field a playoff team capable of going deep into the playoffs, not so much.

I agree with others that if we hit the 9 or 10 game win mark, he is probably coming back next year.

My issue is his inconsistency over the years, the lack of a dominating defense given his background and inability to keep the pedal to the metal when going up on a team.

I'd take Richard, Roman or Saleh if we do fire him.

Tepper has a lot of questions to address between now and the summer of 2020.... GM, Coaching Staff, QB1, Defense, Contracts.... gotta be the biggest offseason that I can remember...more over than the 2015 offseason.

Saleh, Roman, Martindale and Belichick top my list. Then follow by Schottenheimer, Kellen Moore, Richard, Stefanski, Bieniemy, and Eberflus.

No this is not how things work.  Coaches winning 8-10 games don't get fired in the NFL.

Yeah they do.  Tony Dungy and Norv Turner both got fired with similar records. In fact Norv got fired with a 7-6 record before the season was up.   He also got fired by SD after three seasons that went 9-7, 8-8, and 7-9.  Marty Schottenheimer got fired after a 14-2 season.  Lovie Smith was fired by the Bears after a 10-6 season.   Jon Gruden was fired after a 9-7 season.  Coaches get fired based on owner expectations.

Ron Rivera has run his course. I am not content with having a winning season every other year. He’s shown to be too loyal to his friends and refuses to adapt. He’s the definition of average (at best)

I also believe he is the reason we are in this position with Cam. There was no reason to have had him out there not once but twice with a bum shoulder when we weren’t in playoff contention.

I am surprised at the amount of people on this board who are scared to move on because they don’t believe there is a better choice out there. That’s why you have to do your due diligence. You rather stay an 8-8 team for a few more years? Wasting away talents how we did with Olsen, Davis, Gross, Smitty, Peppers- the list goes on. Time to send Rivera packing.

Yeah, wishing that defense was performing better, too. It is what is keeping us from moving up. Is it fixable, I don't know. There have been some injuries there that we really are hurting from... I really do think we are missing KK quite a bit (and I really thought he was not living up to the pay before).
