Shocker

I definitely thought they would run a couple of draw plays or a screen at the very least to get the clock moving before trying to drive it downfield.

They should have played in a way to ensure they had the last possession, that way if they dont win, they also dont lose? but only running 25 seconds off the clock is why they lost.

Yep. As good as Shanahan is, he has fudged up some clock management in key moments.

Nothing will top the Falcons SB meltdown, but outside of that, clock management on the Niners last series in OT was atrocious

Damn... welp we going to probably have to sweep the Saints and win the division to see the playoffs this year.

Wilson solidified himself as the frontrunner for MVP tonight

By throwing a game losing pick in OT only for Jimmy G to hand the game right to them on a silver platter? LOL McC is ahead of Wilson, as is Lamar and Watson for QBs.

from a tatical standpoint, anyone else think the 49'ers should have kneed it and ran out the clock on their last possession. I mean with the time remaining, it would have been better to just get the tie than potentially lose?

At the bare minimum, run the ball on 3rd down and give the Seahawks much less time to try and win the game.

The big knock on Wilson coming out was his height, wasn't it?

Yep. Height and overall size. I think a lot of teams probably thought he'd have durability issues in the NFL with his size and playing style. Durability is one of those things that's really hard to predict. Seems like there's a whole lot of luck involved.

Absolutely not. Niners and Rams might have better talent, but neither of those guys is close to Wilson.

Anybody who thinks Kyle Allen can't be a starter after watching Goff and Garropallo (and see what they're making to boot) is crazy.

The extension they gave to Goff was absolute insanity.

Anybody else with a quarterback due an extension in the next couple of years had to be cursing the Rams that day.

I don't remember anything else.

That was it, pretty much everyone said he was the idea QB from a skill to leadership stand point, only issue was he was short.  Guess who is laughing now?  People should have figured that out after Brees though, NFL can be so silly sometimes.

In hindsight yeah, but I'm pretty sure we all would have called that a chicken sh-t move.

Ehhhhhh, I donno man.  I think Wilson and Lamar are pretty even at this point.  It may come down to who has more wins at the end of the season.  Watson is a close second to those two.  Wilson is without a doubt the only reason they won 7 games going into this one.  Basically every Seahawk fan I speak to on a daily basis feels the same way.  There defense has been suspect all year and his offensive line had defenders in the backfield nearly every snap.  Give the guy his credit, hes earned it.

They may be less likely to hand that out again, considering that extension has also fully blown up in the Rams face.
