Temperament is key in a position like that. The mod selections so far have actually been really solid. Rayzor in particular was an excellent choice.

@rayzor has done a fantastic job of late with the tinderboxing. as others have said, the solution is a scalpel, not a sledgehammer. a three month or hundred post minimum or something to post there would eliminate 90% of the white noise and overt racism that's got us antiracists ready to crack nazi skulls

I'm even relatively sympathetic to most of the causes these guys champion but they have devolved into the same thing they are purported to hate. It's comical.

I don't honestly care whether its causes I'm against or causes I support.

I come to this forum to discuss football, not causes. if I wanted to discuss that sort of thing, I'd go to a form where they did that.

I'm pretty sure if I did go to a forum where they discuss causes and tried to steer every conversation to football, they wouldn't appreciate it.

The opposite is also true.

There are only about a dozen of the Usuals down there, 4 of which are mods already.

After reading enough of his posts on the matter I'm good on kungfoodude as a mod. He's too vested and is displaying more bias with each post.

I do agree though it will probably be best not for the new mod to be a tinderbox regular. There are solid candidates that post in this section.

I pride myself on having a good sense of humor.  I actually remarked about needing a sense of humor to stay sane,  in a thread a couple weeks ago.  There was no humor intended in that post.  It was simply a way around the forum rule of getting banned  for telling someone to kill themselves and it was pied by at least 3 or 4 of the regulars in the TB.  But you believe what you have to Philly.

Well I didn't think all would be sunshine and songs in Pantherland if the Tinderbox went they way of the dinosaurs  but I hoped it would get some of these ridiculous posters to migrate elsewhere. There are times people are fighting and I can't even tell what the hell they are talking about and I damn sure am not spending the time to find out.

You are correct and it's why I would be a terrible mod. I would also advocate midget porn fourm something I think this board has tried to silence.
