Kyle has not shown enough to be listed as a franchise QB you trippin dude. There are no moral victories here. We're beating who we should beat and losing to who we should lose to.

Agreed. Remember Siemen for Denver after Peyton Manning.  Was a find and called the heir apparent to PM. You see where he is now.

100% healthy Kyle Allen is not enough for a goal line score. You guys are starting to accept losing behind a QB that has not beat a winning team. You guys out here dragging Cam for throws that are slightly off target while he is on the run and dragging his shoe choice. Yes a healthy Cam beat these Packers and did it in style. Kyle Allens style is not impressive. We endure 2 to 4 bad drives so we can gloat over 1 great one? Yall turning into good losers again.

16 pts. I've never seen a QB lauded for 16 pts and 2 turnovers.

In saying that,  he did have some really nice throws on that last drive and showed great resolve. I think most teams who draft a QB even in the first round would have been positive about that drive.

Both of these statements can be true.

Why do we expect a young QB to be mistake free?

Why do we anoint a QB so quickly and disparage our old one?

Whether we like it or not we are on the cusp of a huge change in Panther football. Are we going to enjoy it or bitch about it? We shall see!

If the change leads to anything in the first season other than undefeated and a Super Bowl ring, the answer is bitch about it. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn't paying attention around here.

He did what I had feared given the weather conditions, turned the ball over. 2 TO's for 10 Green Bay points. One which wiped at least 3 points off the board for us, if not 7.

I like Kyle but to say he has "proven" enough to be a franchise QB? Completely ludicrous. He will be a nice bridge to the future if we don't bring back Cam or a great backup if we do. He definitely isn't a franchise QB, in either scenario.

I think it might be you turning into a loser if not already. You are not accurately assessing the situation. I'm not sure if this is due to your lack of knowledge or just due to bias. Kyle Allen is not a finished product. He is 23 years old and also doesn't even have a lot of playing experience in college (look it up). We will see how he develops over time, but if you are denying he has the physical tools, you are incorrect.

Let's see. You must be referring to Byron Bell et al.

And saying you think we have been better than Bell and better than Kalil? Okay.

yeah i dont think there has been a worse OT pairing we've ever thrown out there besides Bell and Chandler (who was drafted as a DT and never played OT before) for half the season. Bell-Silatolu-Kalil-Velsaco-Chandler may be one of the worst OLs in NFL history. there was a massive improvement when we replaced half the line with 2 rookies and a guy off the Rams practice squad.

Unfortunately I know all about it, in the sense that I was a daily consumer of everything there was to see, that was free. Since the internet. Not as much anymore but you don't have to be an expert to see DL running free almost at will. There is not a lot of difference in quality of play as far as I can tell. Both bunches qualify as good reasons for erratic QB play, in my opinion anyhow.

Overcoming adversity is part of what you have to do as a quarterback sometimes, even if you were part of it.

We were still inches from winning it at the end.

Inches from potentially TYING it at the end, but I get what you’re saying. He did a nice job putting Carolina back in position to force OT, I’ll give him that.
