Final play is the exact reason you don't trade Cam Newton

Choke on his mvp and rookie of the year performances.. if Allen looks to be in any category of that ball park get back at me

That’s living in the past.  Cam won’t win another MVP award here or anywhere else. Just sayin.

Funny since Allen hasn't looked remotely close yet some think he shud be given 20mil/yr lol.

I haven’t seen one person say Allen should make 20 mil.  Kid is damn good for his pay and being undrafted.  He has actually helped make watching these games a little fun.  It’s hard to say he hasn’t amazed you at times, if you are being 100.

Your welcome.

He is without a doubt our future and worth developing into a franchise QB.

He went in Lambeu and played relatively mistake free football (INT in endzone I can live with) and gave us a chance to win. There aren't many QBs that go 90 yards in 2 minutes, in the snow, on the road like that. Not to mention with a LT that looked like he was on skates.

I'm pretty sure this game just cemented a $20m a year contract for him, I just don't know if it will be from us, or another team.

I have not felt this positive about a loss since Cam divisional playoff loss. You could literally see us turning the corner that game.

I agree with most of what you said I'm not saying cam should be here because he shouldn't. He's injured. My arguement was purely at should he be the starter if healthy or potentially next season.

Oh absolutely. A healthy Cam is much better than a rough guess of 90% of the starters in the NFL.

I, personally, don't think the question is if he can get healthly. It's if he can stay healthy. Are these freak injuries? Will his foot and shoulder hold up? How durable is he at this point, we used him like a Power back early, and then the NFL treated him like one.

It's very, very tricky.  And while there's no way to predict which way Cam will turn out, and this is a very bleak time for Panthers fans, but we can't act like even a healthy Cam would be turnover free and solve all of our problems, esp with our run defense.

Well it was all this and that about his shoulder but don't blink, when you are worried about that a little foot sprain takes him out for an entire season. And where did that come from? Didn't look too bad to me at the time and probably most people thought the same. Heck there was a doctor on the radio the next day or Monday, said if it had been a regular season game he wouldn't have come out.

Hard to trust that it won't be the other foot or an ankle or elbow or whatever. Heck we just blew a year on the shoulder. Now we blew another year on a foot. I would consider signing him to a large money deal to be very high risk. Incentive deals are all I would go for but it isn't just the money, it is your season you are gambling.

I suppose, given the economics meaning that 19 million seems to be chickenfeed that keeping him and seeing how the last year of that deal goes, is probably the play. And you can do that knowing that you CAN use the tag for two more years.
