Haven’t been this excited after a loss in quite some time

He was good.

He was far from the big problem today.

You can make mistakes and still ball out. Kyle balled out today.

"But the fumble." he's in his 9th start.

"But the interception." he's in his 9th start.

He showed a lot more good than bad today. Tough loss and you don't want to just look at the postivies in any win or loss but this is something to be optimistic about.

I’m ok with calling it a good or above average performance. It wasn’t balling out. It wasn’t great. It doesn’t solidify him as the future of the position in Carolina.

Edit: I’d also like to point out that you don’t move the goalposts based on games played. Stats are stats. 9 games doesn’t mean great for another QB is 4 tds and 0 INTs and great for him is less. Treat them the same.

It does. Nobody ever remembers the losing team. Anything good that happened in that game does no translate to next week, so yes, it is pointless and still another NFC L.

we're all gonna die and nobody's gonna remember the winning team in a sport that only really matters in america.

in the context of football and past my immedaite gratification, seeing progress from players like Kyle and D.J. mean a lot for this team.

Why the hell is everyone so damn black and white on this board? Yes, Kyle Allen had 2 crucial turnovers that made a huge difference and were black marks on his game. But he also showed a lot of grit in marching us down the field on multiple possessions in the 4th quarter, on the road, in the snow, with pressure in his face almost every damn play. Overall I'm proud of his effort. It was overall a gutsy effort by the team. We ultimately lost but showed a lot tonight. Kyle Allen might not ever will us to a super bowl run by himself but he's proving his floor is as a top tier backup, which is something 95% of teams in the NFL wish they had and every Carolina Panther fan should be happy we have. Ultimately the best thing for this team is working to get Cam back on the field next season at something close to his old self, but we should take solace in knowing if he can't, we at minimum have a great stop gap in Allen.

Allen with a fumble loss and interception: He showed heart, a leader, gave us a chance

Cam with the same stat line: He's lazy and selfish. Makes fun of his demeanor and the way he dresses.

And people here wonder why there are others here that stand up to this kind of bullshit that can only be thinly veiled racism.

Didn't take but 4 pages to pull the race card out....congrats

I think the kid shows guts every week.  Making it worthwhile to watch again.

gutty? yes. gritty? yes. leader? sure.

playmaker? no. nothing about his game scares defenses. nothing about his play indicates you can sit back and not worry about finding a franchise guy in the event cam has played his last snap for us.

Kyle Allen is our future, loss be damned this is a really good football team. Come on, it was a night game in winter at Lambeu with MVP Rodgers, what did you expect?’ I’m pumped anc we will be fine

Damn right.  No quit in this game.

It builds a case for him next year.

Stop looking 10 years into the future.  it's needless stress. If Kyle pulls a Matt Moore and sucks long term for us, it happens. There's no sure answers in football.

We saw a QB go to GB in the winter, run our offense very well and keep us in the game.

I don't really know why you gotta gripe about "Balling out" when that last drive was the definition of that.
