well, now its official, He HAS to play vs. Drew Brees. Godfrey can't catch, and can't cover. Martin is the freaking man!

Martin has great range and is all over the field. Hes always in the right place showing good instincts and ability to read the plays. You sir are the new S here in Carolina.

Martin had commented in an article recently that he was looking forward to playing safety, where he had more vision of the field and was able to react appropriately.

I really hope he gets the start next week.

One thing is for sure. Martin looked hella fast out there and he has the range we are looking for. Perhaps Godfrey is a better FS but he is not a better play maker as we just saw. We need a guy who can get the tipped passes and the jump balls. Martin showed a lot today and I would certainly consider starting him next week.

Martin made plays. He looked like he belonged on the field. He showed range in doing everything the position asked of him. He came up and made some hits and made some picks.....Godfrey shows huge weaknesses every time a play comes his way almost. Martin should 100% the S.

...Fox will give Godfrey the job back. That is the type team Fox runs.
