If you just kick the extra point you’re only down one possession. You need one defensive stop and one score to then go for two to win it. Or just tie it. That would make more sense, that’s two possessions in 12 minutes of football. Two possessions by each team were needed to win even if we did get the 2 points. Now we need twice as much time. It really makes no sense.
