There are a LOT of football fans who don't understand the game at all. If your efforts don't translate to a boxscore then you suck in their minds.

Poe > Lotulelei. The preponderance of experts will agree with that assessment, & I'd bet that analytics will be indicative of that reality, bottom line.

Besides Funchess whom I didnt think deserved a contract, the rest were solid players. Could be system fits... I dont think those guys just stoped playing good football they just arent in the right situation.

Agree but they were all overpaid

Hurney 2.0v3000 is killing it.

Rivera was the wrong coach for Cam and Shula. I like him better with Kyle and Norv.

Keep Cam, then get rid of Rivera.

Keep Rivera, then trade Cam for assets/players.

I trust Hurney to fill the team's needs either way.

I don't.

Hurney is certainly capable of putting together a good season or two. We knew that from his previous stint.

The problem is long-term. Last time, his best seasons came early on, but the longer he was in charge, the worse it got.

I'm not convinced it'd be any different this time.

I cant' disagree with you - about his first time here.

But it appears he's learned the importance of not completely mortgaging the future for the now. Most free agents are cap-friendly, one year deals rather than extended above-market ones. He isn't turning a blind eye to obvious holes any longer and is particularly serious about improving the offensive line.

If Cam was healthy, this team would be in Super Bowl discussions - even with the current record.

Rodrigue has said that Ron and Marty were prepared to extend Newton, but Tepper won't let them.

That's not a good sign for me.

Well...

That could go either way. If they're confident Cam will get healthy, then you'd want to extend him now. I'd have to think Cam would take a lesser deal in his current state, than if he was completely healthy running through defenses. It would be a gamble - I agree. But as long as it's a calculated gamble based on more info than the general public has access to, I'd be okay with it.

If Hurney is just basing this off of blind loyalty, then yeah. He's not making a smart business decision. Need to find a middle point between Hurney 1.0 and Gettleman.

The devil is in the details,

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't hear differently once all is said and done.

As intelligent a respense as you have ever given. The way you listed all those things that proved me wrong.

We've already had this discussion. Actually you've had this discussion with several people. I don't think it's a sign of intelligence to keep discussing the same points ad nauseum. If I were interested in circuitous arguments that are opinion that you continue to argue as facts, I'd dredge through your thread/post history.
