This is great news! i think it affects Greg Dortch more the Donte Moncrief, but we will see. Hogan has been a reliable receiver with his hands, he is not a burner but he can get open and catch.

Who would be our returner if Dortch gets cut?

Zylstra would most likely be the odd man out.

Hogan can be a beast if healthy. We need more options as well for Allen. He's been throwing good balls only to be dropped.

Yes yes yes Allen needs options that can get separation and catch. This is big if he can go this week.

You know come to think of it, the way Jarius Wright has been playing, I wonder if Hogan might wind up supplanting him in the third receiver spot.

This is what I was thinking it’s big if he can come in and contribute but I see him more of a outside WR and probably moving DJ to the slot.

That's exactly what I was thinking.  They are basically the same player in terms of what they bring to the field, but Wright hasn't been the amazing, reliable player he was last year.  I think it's possible Hogan might steal that role.

I'd think that the Panthers wil wasn't too take a serious look at Donte Moncrief before bringing Hogan back. And No I'm not saying that Moncrief is even close to Hogan in ten of what each brings to the team. I'm saying,  we've already signed Moncrief and we know what he's done, let's find out what he can do for us now.

He will still have to wait a couple weeks to be activated, but I think another addition to the WR core may be a good thing with the drops Wright has been having.

And the drops Moncrief will be having.

Kidding.  Hope he works out.  If he does, and we have Moore, Samuel, Wright, Moncrief, and Hogan---that is pretty strong.

Wright has been kinda inconsistent this year, which is out of character. Would love to see Hogan get in the mix more than he was used even prior to his injury.

Wright has been slumping.  It happens to all of them.  Even Smith had a few bouts of dropsies.
