And what do you get out of running Kyle down. He is our guy now and I would expect for Panther nation to embrace and support him.

why the fug would you expect a thing like that after the past 8 years of how they've supported their qb?

did i take crazy pills, why do people keep saying this thing over and over like they're just completely unaware of how we literally had to put a word filter on this board to get people to stop saying "scam newton"

As per Bill Belichick....statistics are for losers.  Right now Allen 5-1, Cam 0-2 with the same team.... enough said.  After the next 8 games (+) play out the answer will become self evident.

Career win percentage:

Cam Newton .549
Joe Namath .496
Phillip Rivers .562
Kurt Warner .578
Drew Brees .590
Troy Aikman .570
Frank Tarkenton .532
Warren Moon .502

How many of them were drafted by a 1-15 team? Does context matter to you in the slightest?

Troy Aikman for sure, Namath and Tarkenton were drafted by expansion teams, Moon and Warner were undrafted.

Meh, we are Panther fans.

Cam Newton has had a better competition percentage only 2 seasons in his career.  Better passer rating in only 3.

Those type stats ain’t never meant poo to us.  Unless they suddenly do for some reason now?

A post like this is severely undermining what healthy Cam Newton brought to this offense.

Those stats never matter because he was also our workhorse running back and scoring at will on the ground in the red zone.

You know we have a spoiled fan base when they lose all sense of reason about young QBs on this team.

Cam was the exception, not the rule.

Most young QBs, you expect the first season to be middling-to-bad. You expect progression into the second year, third year, etc.

Allen is essentially playing his rookie season as a 23 year old right now. He has performed about how we expected he would, right? So why are there so many "welp, he sucks, time to move on" takes? Why is it "let's see what we have in Grier" when you're 5-1 with the current young QB and have the second highest scoring offense in your division? You're gonna tank any confidence Allen has just to get games out of Grier? Possibly sacrifice a winning season? Why? So you can see the team gutted and feel better about this whole situation?

This place is seriously becoming insufferable.

Well, not Cam Newton so Troy Aikman is 1.

I think you misunderstood as you in turn made the same point.

How is it the same point? If we want Cam’s stats to “matter” we need to also consider throwing in his rushing statistics, 1st down conversion percentage, etc.

Does that paint a better picture for you?
