Don McNabb

I was pleased that he aknowledged the miss throws he had in the Washington game and also pointed out that he has been throwing the ball in the ground too much. Definitely seemed like he made the proper corrections. He is playing very good right now even with his offensive line being patchwork all season.

It is nice that he finally has some very talented, young offensive weapons around him now. I just hope the weapons are still there when the McNabb era comes to an end and the Kolb era begins and the transition is a painless as possible.

Bring on dem Cowboys!!!!

Got any updated after this week's game KT?

I have changed my mind and he is back on my sh*t list. (yes, I can do that) This past game against the Cowboys is just another example of the inability of McNabb/Reid combo to win a close game. God it is frustrating. Is it all McNabb's fault, no but neither he or Andy has shown the ability to handle decisions on the fly when the game is on the line. Personally I think they have always been bad for each other and McNabb would have been better in an offense that wasn't the West Coast style.

When the game is a blowout, all is good.....when the game is tight, they both fall apart. It has been like that for years. God forbid we need a game winning drive cause it isn't going to happen.

I feel better now.....thanks.

Well, no QB has beaten the Cowgirls more than Don McNabb. I think yall troubles with tight games is because of 2 things right now....

A-Yall's offensive line is patchwerk and lost some 1 on 1 battles against Dallas that led to sacks and pressures on Don.

B-I dont know why yall wont put a power back on your roster. Just a guy that can get you those 1-2 yards you need on a drive. That way you wouldnt have to rely on QB sneaks or screen passes to pick em up. Just an observation.

Well it's not something that is just now occurring. I heard a disturbing stat about the Reid/McNabb combo recently (going off memory).

The last 10 games decided by 7 points or less: 2-7-1

Something like 5-25-1 overall in games where they were down by 1 score or less in the 4th quarter.

McNabb has yet to sustain a TD drive of 6 or more plays since week 1 against the Panthers.

But 3rd and short has been a problem for awhile. That is an Andy problem not McNabb. Why they won't run the FB Weaver in that situation is beyond me.

I would have loved to see what Mcnabb's numbers would be at this point of his career if he were on a different style offense. Sure the dinks and dunks of the west coast have helped his low interception rate and lets him throw a lot but it has also hindered his big play ability and his ability to really take over a game like some of the "elite" qb's have. I dunno, just speculation but I bet he would have been even a better QB somewhere else in the right system. Of course that goes for a lot of QB's and Mcnabb certainly hasn't had it terrible in Philly and Philly hasn’t had it bad with McNabb either.

Overall, I think Reid has been better off having McNabb than Mcnabb having Reid.

Admittedly this is me being disgrutled about losing another close game (and against the Cowboys of all teams) and pointing fingers at the coach and QB is the easiest thing to do.

Not sure that McNabb's deep ball accuracy is good enough for him to really excel in other offenses. JMO.

He was wayyyy off on too many throws on Sunday.

And not adding on at all, but McNabb has always had problems when the pressure is on, that is widely known.
