Here's the definitive post about where we stand with Cam Newton's future with the team

Would he be willing to do it on a one-year contract though?

The vast majority of people agree it would be pretty unreasonable to ask the Panthers to extend Newton's current deal with all the questions surrounding his health. That's just way too big a gamble.

If you're looking at it from Newton's perspective though, are you okay with playing on what's essentially a one year "prove it" deal, or are you confident enough to bet on yourself that somebody else might be willing to offer more?

Particularly on a new team learning a new system. No guarantee he comes out doing great game 1.

Thanks for the analysis, good stuff. I would add one thing about Tepper, and this was reported by Jourdan Rodrigue during her Q&A on the Athletic, is he's fully aware of the sparse crowds this season and very concerned about it.

it's a QB league. and our QB is one of the biggest draws in the league. we have a running back who his arguably the best player in the league putting together a historic season but that isnt bringing people to the game

i dont necessarily think this is really a Panthers problem though. this is a known issue throughout the league. teams like the Pats, Packers, Cowboys, etc are always gonna have a full stadium but there are A LOT of teams with issues filling the stands. i blame the NFL for pricing the average fan out of the market. i have season tickets and live a block from the stadium so im not paying for parking or single game tickets - but someone who does is easily dropping $250 a person for decent seats and parking within 2 miles of the stadium right off the bat. if you want a couple beers and a hotdog its another $30. then sitting in traffic after the game for an hour turns the game into almost an all day event. when you can watch every game from the comfort of your home, buy a 6 pack, order a pizza and its saves you $200 its not a surprise less people want to go to games

This is actually a pretty good post.

is it true that cam is frustrated or otherwise fed up with the medical staff?

you don't have to answer this, just say your response in a way that we all know everything

A lot of angles to look at in this situation and anyone saying definitively that Cam will be gone in 2020 is talking out of their anus.

One thing I didn’t see in the post was the possibility that Ron is pissed at Cam over the vlog he made awhile ago. Seems that Ron wasn’t at all happy with it because it looked like he screwed up the whole injury situation.

Going to be an interesting second half of the season, if Kyle plays well and we make the playoffs everyone but Cam could be here in 2020... if Kyle stinks it up and we miss the playoffs everyone could be gone.

Fasten your seatbelts, it’s gonna be a wild ride

Could have been coachspeak obviously but I do recall Ron saying he was happy that Cam was able to get his side of the story out there.

If Cam is still interested in playing football in the NFL what do you think is reason would be beyond any monetary compensation?

They way I figure it........the only thing left he has do to in the NFL beside making money is to get a ring...........

Does he have a chance here?................not likely.

So I think it depends if he gets traded or has an offer with another team then what are their chances?

Otherwise what's left for him to do other than retire?
