Beyond the first season, there really hasn't been anyone within management that has had a clear vision to guide this franchise with a steady hand.  That is reflected in team's lack of back to back winning seasons.

I don't know if Tepper can be that guy, but after 25 years of hit and miss, I'm on board with letting Dave give it a shot (if that is his inclination).

The sad fact of what people are not realizing is that Cam's body may just not allow him to continue. His injury should have taken 6 weeks. It's now a IR situation. That's not good.

Your hypothetical is already the case --- Tepper is the owner, and the GM.

As per Jourdan's comments, if Hurney were the GM he would be extending Cam and that's not going to happen.
