I'm a Panthers fan and if it takes letting Cam, Ron and Hurney go to make this a playoff team and super bowl contending team every year sign me up. I'm for one tired of being mediocre, and having good records every other year.

It would be the worst decision Tepper could ever make. Franchise QBs do not grow on trees and Kyle Allen is not going to magically conjure up more ability out of thin air, no matter how much having CMC handle the entire offensive load can make it seem otherwise.

And I would not bother entering the stadium again for a game; I do not support people who make terrible decisions with my money. I'll watch on TV when I don't have better things to do and that would be the extent of my support until the brain trust that made such an idiotic decision was finally gone.

If they come out and announce Cam is gone next off-season, then Kyle Allen's criticism armor will fall off quickly. Once there's no reason to prop-up Kyle Allen as the next Tom Brady they'll turn on him quickly.

This decision doesn't have anything to do with Kyle Allen.

Kyle Allen being bad won't change Newton's age, health, cap figure or the likelihood of his staying healthy in the future.

Those are the factors that matter in this decision. Allen being good or bad only affects whether they look to him as a successor or they search somewhere else.

The only thing that could change this is if Newton's overall condition improves, and it sounds like it would probably have to improve by an awful lot.

Did you know Robert Kraft purchased the SuperFund site known as the New England Patriots at almost the exact same time Ol' Jerry Richardson started up the greenfields operation known as the Carolina Panthers? 

Amazing how differently the two operations have fared...
