Likely won't see Cam in a Panthers uni again

Jeremy Igo

A QB that can't stay healthy on a team that is 5-1 without him.  Oh, and you can save $19MM by  not having him on the team next year.  Makes sense.  In all likelihood, even if Cam was playing this season, I doubt the team would be any better than what their record is now.  Bye Cam, it's been fun, but this is a business.

Maybe we have different definitions of average but I think the following are average to a little above-average:

Nick Foles

Joe Flacco

Eli Manning

Brad Johnson

Trent Dilfer

John Elway (don't @ me)

Mark Rypien

Jeff Hostelter

Honestly Bradshaw lived off being surrounded by a great team.

That's a lot of old names, spread out through time. So answer my question now.

Is it easier to get to, and win a Super Bowl with an average quarterback or a good quarterback? It's a simple question.

I'm talking about what numerous people (not just Igo) with access to the team believe is going to happen.

You're talking about what you want to happen.

What you want is irrelevant.

Yea the  headlines say that. Then you read the article and there’s a bunch of “maybes” and “ifs”. It’s a world of clicks and the big question the media is fabricating is whether Cam would be here or not. Charlotte media and writers covering the team can beat that down for stories until May 2020 and people will eat it up. Any logical person know the team isn’t risking the future or losing fans over $20mm for one year.

Seriously though, Joe Person has a room temperature IQ.

You wouldn't think that now that the Huddle elite want them clicks to drive conversation.  I can't believe Mr. Scot went to Joe Person's speculation tweet as a source and thought that we weren't gonna talk sh*t!!!

When have I want anything Scot? Lol I haven't commented on this whole situation because we all knew that the IR was likely due to the foot not healing. What your doing is say yeah he is probably done based on those close to the situation when those people haven't said anything but what could happen as well. I have not seen igo or person anyone say yeah cam is furious and this situation is beyond reconciliation. I dont even know how Cam feels about this... we might see him at the game Sunday would your opinion look dumb then? Yes..

What I'm saying is between now and a week ago nothing as far as we know has changed. Stop spreading half truths.

Again, and this shouldn't be difficult to understand, reality is reality.

Over the last few days, people kept refusing to believe that the team would put Newton on injured reserve. This despite the information that was coming out (from the same sources) saying it could happen. Now it has.

You can spend as much time as you want to trying to say that all the people who are telling you something you don't want to hear are unreliable or whatever if that makes you feel better. Truthfully though, it's not going to accomplish anything. it's basically the equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and going "lalalala".

Nobody knows for certain what will happen, but they know the direction that all the signs are pointing.

Again, deny that all you want. It's not going to change anything.

Quick question: Who was the first guy to uncover that Newton's injury was a lisfranc?

Talking sh-t doesn't mean anything. If he's right, he's right, and all the sh-t talking in the world won't change that.

At the end of the day, Cam has not been our starter this year or most of last year, functionally speaking. If this is it for him, he will have been shown the door just like Smitty, Gross and a host of other all time players. Carolina is not a sentimental franchise.

Jake had one of the best all time QB performances in Superbowl history and holds a Superbowl record.

Cam did not.

and it still ended in a loss.

Cam has one of the best QB performances in history in 2015, Jake does not.

Cam is a better QB period

I see a lot of people arguing what may or may not happen. In all reality, no one knows just yet. Signs may linger to lean towards outcomes but honestly, I just want to watch my panthers win. I’m prepared with either outcome. I just want to enjoy this season which we having a winning team right now regardless who is QB.  Only thing matters to me is the present. Keep pounding!

Who was refusing to believe  the team would IR him? From what I know about the injury it's the exact same one that took Olsen out for the year. And if that's the case wouldn't that LIKELY be the same case with Cam?  Cam cant magically speed up the time table on the same injury that doctors sit other players out for. Again I haven't speculated what this means for the future because this has always been the most likely scenario. What your doing and what I'm not gonna do is say what this means for the future.

Honestly you should know better.. you have been around a long time have really fallen from grace here recently with these undertones and peddling speculation as probable cause and such. Look at your other thread. Are you on the huddle pay role? Something seems up.. (speculation see what I did there)

Except with Jake who got the good faith contract Khalil and William's Stewart and so on.i mean it's TRUE until it's not true.

I'll ask Igo for a raise.

Pretty sure he'll be willing to pay me three times as much as he's paying me right now.
