Screw a rocket.  I want my star trek style transporter.  :)

I'm with Doctor McCoy on that front.

There is no way in hell you will ever get me to step into something that scrambles my atoms, takes me apart and reassembles me somewhere else!

Worth remembering they don't hold the Pro Bowl in Hawaii anymore.

The travel is a big issue, but I don't think it's necessarily the biggest issue. It's a lot to ask players to pick up and move across the ocean to a whole other country. That'd be a disadvantage for the team as it's trying to get free agents.

And let's remember, players get cut midseason on a pretty regular basis. Imagine you've taken the time to move you and maybe your family all the way over to London, and now you're cut.

And what about tryouts? Driving or flying to Charlotte or Green Bay for a tryout is no big deal? Having to go to London? Whole other story.

I think the people in favor of this really haven't thought through the real world logistics.

But like I said, owners don't live in the real world.

True on the Pro Bowl, but at the same time, broadcasters had to be awake, fans, families, refs, etc......

Agreed on travel being AN issue, just not the major one, in my opinion.

I would think with back to backs only, it could be viable, but I do think you would likely need at least 2 teams over there to help mitigate some of the issues that would bring up.

No he hasn’t, at all.

Strange take. Just the development of reusable rockets is revolutionary. Space X aims to make space travel quick easy and affordable. Once we can shuttle people/cargo back and forth to the ISIS (which is happening soon) and one day the moon, London to Cape Town will be a breeze.

No owner would move a team to London.

You are at such a competitive disadvantage. Plus it’s a scheduling nightmare.

Currently any team that plays in London gets a bye. That’s 7-8 games the chargers would have travel to the US and back without a bye. Unless they stacked the schedule so they would play all their away games in 1-2 trips and have a training facility in the US. And every team going to London would have to get a bye after those games which makes it even more of a nightmare.

It’s just not feasible. With the London obsession. Keep stacking games there every week to coincide with the byes.

It would require an owner who's not necessarily all that committed to winning and/or is an utter moron.

I can see why they're looking at the Chargers.

To say that, you have to assume that every owner cares about winning.  They don't.  They care about making money first and foremost.

I think the only way to make it feasible would be to have 2 teams in London, and each team that travels over there would stay for 2 games, and each time those teams come here they would stay for 2 games with each being close together....all in the North East, in Texas, or Florida/GA/NC....etc...

Would the teams have a competitive disadvantage?  Hell yea.  However we can argue that teams in NY/NJ, Cali, Buffalo, and Green Bay have a competitive disadvantage in a few different ways as well.

Again, not wanting a team there, much less two, but to say it's impossible just isn't being honest with yourself.

It's technically possible to build a mall at the North Pole.

It just might not be the smartest idea.

I’ll never understand the hate for him as anything other than jealousy or insecurities.

The man has an imagination like a child. He dreams big. Then somehow turns those daydreams into realities. Look at what he’s doing with Neurolink. He’s already transformed the way the world works pretty dramatically.

He’s possibly made more radical steps forward in the last decade than anyone else on the planet in terms of proving we can do things thought impossible just years ago. And yet apparently “he’s a joke” ... lol. I look forward to seeing what that guy does to change the world in the next 10 years

As much as I hate the idea, make no mistake London will have a team in the next couple of years.

Zero chance an NFL team moves to London in the next 2 years.

If it ever happens I will be very very surprised and the only way I can see it happening is through expansion.  1000-1 against that too.
