So Apparently We Still Lead the NFL in Sacks

with 34 total. You could say we're on pace for 68 sacks on the season but that's a bit much to expect.

The interesting thing I found from our defensive half season stats were : 

• We have SEVEN different players with 3 sacks or more, thats fuging awesome
• How does Eric Reid have 3 sacks?
• Vernon Butler has 3 sacks and 3 forced fumbles..let that sink in

Because that’s one of his biggest strengths and we’ve been smart to utilize him as a blitzer. Best DB blitzer we’ve had since Captain his first go around and Mitchell in 2013. Very happy that we’ve been using him like that.

Eric Reid is a great athlete. Olsen put him in his top 5 hes ever played with.

We need a true 3-4 NT. Poe is solid but that's not his game. It'd also be hella if our other ends not named McCoy actually stacked against the run consistently

Sometimes its less about talent, heart, desire, etc.. than it is about getting in the right system with enough chances.  Some players will thrive in any system and environment while others needs specifics.  Butler might be the latter.
