we just signed Donte Moncrief

Captain Morgan

This may have been posted already, but this might indicate bad news on the Chris Hogan front. That’s pure speculation, but it wouldn’t make too much sense given that Hogan can return soon.

People like to freak out, positively and negatively, when somebody gets signed. I think this is a pretty decent acquisition. You have to consider the circumstances, as we talked about earlier, Jim Hostler worked with this kid in 2015. It was his best season to date.

Sometimes, it’s not all about who has the highest rating on madden. You have to find people who fit within the system and sometimes it doesn’t hurt to have connections, like a former position coach.

This is a very high upside pick up with virtually no downside, anyone that doesnt get that just wants to be negative.

Moncrief is just depth and will likely be 5th string once Hogan is back.  I don't have any issue with this move.

Panthers under this regime like "clean" players and Gordon is far from this.  He's probably a good guy, but his history is what it is and the fact that the Pats moved on speaks volumes.

There’s a lot of unknowns about Josh Gordon. Everybody knows that he enjoys marijuana, and that he is an advocate for it. And I don’t have much of a problem with that.

Maybe his problem isn’t the marijuana. Maybe it’s a physical issue at this point. Maybe he’s having a hard time grasping concepts. It doesn’t have to be one goddamn thing.

All I know is whenever folks end up leaving New England prematurely, it typically doesn’t end up working out well for them. I’m sure there’s a few exceptions, but not many.

Gordon’s biggest issue wasn’t actually weed. It was alcohol and other things. He took Xanax and shots of Grand Marnier in the locker room before every game and I think practice too. He seems to be past that at least.

The injury seems to the biggest current problem. Pats fans have said that he is just slow this year. The injury caused him to lose his burst. Then, of course, there is the late for meetings stuff.

Ok so we signed him, it is what it is.  But fellas you all missing the bigger picture here.  Is he going to do better under Cam or Kyle?!  I mean, since almost every thread has to come back to this Cam and Kyle debate that has been beaten to a pulp and squeezed through a strainer with no end in sight.  Rolls Eyes.

Like your thought process just think Gordon is the same deal man . Neither one are more than a body . Neither will be talked about in 2 years. We don’t have the magic formula to make these guys stars. I get it though, Nothing wrong with taking a flyer but history and evidence  says they would have done it already.

Still pissed, the best reasoning I could think of is Gordon being a bad influence on the young WRs. Not just the off-field stuff but being late, lazy, and overall unprofessional. I believe Pats and Panthers have a good relationship(made trades and always have pre-season game). Gordon was for whatever reasons was not following ALL of Bills rules and they can win without him.

The main reason Seattle claimed him was Russ asked for it. No matter what I thought, 31 other teams passed on him as a claim at his current salary. Plus there where reports hes not fully healed and if hes being a headache about being on time and effort, it wasnt worth it(I disagree). I seen his injury, shocked he is deemed "healthy". Hips do not operate like that.
