Okay, just heard it.

To his credit, he didn't tie it solely to Kyle Allen. His rationale was that the combination of age, injury and cap number would cause the Panthers to move on.

Again, not guaranteed, but possible.

Ron deserves a 5 years extension. Look at other teams who play with their backups. Ron is a very good coach.

Keep Kyle Allen in perspective: If he was our first round draft pick this past year and got thrust into the starting role after week two, we'd be frikking amazed and really happy with the results. Now just remember that he's an UDFA with one game of prior experience at the pro level and a very abbreviated college career.

that short interview with deion was great.

kid took some shots yesterday and held onto the ball.  he made some critical throws.   he was late on some throws.  he was off on some throws.  some throws were frikkin beautiful.    can't expect more in his 7th game.

I don't think Kyle is the reason, but Ron just likes game managers not guys who can take over games at QB.  Remember, he won a superbowl with Jim McMahon as his QB.  Even when he had cam, he did let him run, but he stressed ball security to Cam and always wanted him to make sure he didn't lose the game for us with interceptions.  That said, if the rest of the team is built, you can win a lot of games with a game manager.  The Vikings with Case Keenum won 11 games in Minnesota just 2 years ago, Peyton Manning and trent dilfer both won super bowls as game managers.  Hell, Tom Brady's first super bowl was mostly him being a game manager.  I'm not saying we are gonna win a superbowl or anything dumb, but if other parts of our team perform, we can be very successful.

Kyle Allen guarantees we stay 8-8 for the next 3 years, get nothing in drafts, and remain with Ron Rivera for the next decade most likely. I get that he’s doing good but long term that’s what we are looking at 9-7 8-8 and more Ron. We’ve had one mvp qb. I can’t believe the quickness with which some of our fan base is rooting for newton to be gone. I can only see one major reason why that is.
