What is Kyle Allen’s ceiling?

So let's just ignore all the big throws and just say CMC bailed him out ok... They complemented each other. If CMC didn't have Allen he would have been bottled up all day. He threw CMC open.

We could have won by thirty if Kyle Allen had made some better throws today. There were more than a few deep passes he totally whiffed on or underthrew. I know you are in love with the guy, but it's true

You are fuging pathetic. Kyle did nothing today worth a flip. He did not "throw" Christian open on any of those passes. That's fuging ridiculous.

You are a complete retard. CMC would have had nothing without Allen.

So could have any QB in the league. Including Cam when he was healthy.

Surprised no one said Alex Smith yet. Good, reliable QB but never viewed as "the guy".

Also had the stigma of not being willing to go beyond 20 yards down field.

Alex Smith was smart and not a turnover machine. Allen fumbles and throws into double/triple coverage like it's his passion.

You can’t determine his ceiling after less than half a season of tape. A lot of great qb’s had horrible rookie seasons and a lot of horrible qb’s had great rookie seasons. Kyle probably has the rest of the year to show what he can do/can’t do. Will have a better idea when the season is over.

Kyle Allen played like Jimmy Clausen today and you know it. It must really burn you up seeing it.

Uhh you must not remember the Pickles era... I don't know he ever had a 2 TD game lol.

Allen was much better than that, and had some clutch plays that really did contribute.  Cmc is still our mvp and putting the offense on his back tho.

We also could have won by a larger margin if our defense had been better.

As someone else pointed out, he got off to a rough start but did a lot better as the game went on, including some pretty clutch throws.

If you want to try and say that he played no part in the win today or that they won in spite of them, that's just ridiculous.
