I think that’s because he’s 23 and hasn’t even played a whole season yet lol

Hell Cam didn’t make adjustments and had the same play calls his first 2-3 years. Almost all qbs start with these training wheels.

he often has a nice touch on intermediate balls - but holy crap, his deep balls are terrible... overthrown or (worse) underthrown... he doesn't seem to have a feel for delivering the ball beyond 20 yards at all... maybe he can develop his arm strength more?  I don't know... 

tbh, this is a good D so I am pleased with the O so far. plenty still to work on.

He has 6 and a 1/2 games under his belt of course they aren't letting him make adjustments and making it easy for him

Cam was making adjustments at the LoS early in his 2nd or maybe even his 1st year of starting.  This was a narrative we used to have to f ight on here so there were a lot of threads about it.  In fact one reason he often looked better in the hurryup was because he could have more time to make adjustments at the LoS.

but... Allen is SUPER young and still can grow into a better qb for sure, including adjustments at the line etc.  It doesn't seem like the staff completely trusts him yet IMO.
