i enjoy drawing a direct line from your shitty takes to your thinly veiled racial politics and i will continue to remind long time posters and inform new posters of the lengths you went to in defending nolan nawrocki’s honor

How Mr Scot posts racist?

He is one of the rational people on this fuging board.

What's funny is in the preseason Grier was seen as the primary threat and all the bashing was directed at him.  When QB7 won the job there was joy in River City.  Now that QB7 is seen as the threat he's the target of the bashing....LOL.

Kyle Allen isn't a threat to anyone

Thats not what happened at all.

In the preseason the entire board called for Hurney to be fired for being unable to find a single decent back up.  They wanted the Panthers to cut Allen, and trade for a veteran back up.

Allen is the target of bashing because people have this hilarious idea that he is better than a healthy Newton..despite regularly playing badly.  If people just looked at his play rationally.  Left it at "He is a great back up".  Stopped trying to push their Anti-Newton narrative..there wouldn't be Allen bashing.

A lot of people are scared hes better than the "healthy" version of Cam Newton we are going to get. Cam at 50-60% of his former self at fully healthy is scary to think about. Simple truth is we dont know where he's at.

I know I wasn’t one of those people calling for a trade. That was absolute mania. I get there were some concerns. Kyle had a good feel for the offense in camp, and that’s much more significant to me than what happens in a preseason game. Offenses don’t game plan extensively, but defenses send exotic blitzes in those games. Preseason football is stacked against offenses, particularly quarterbacks.

well said , totally agree. It's time for people to stop the QB wars and support whoevers out there.

Given Kyle's status as a UDFA and 23 year old QB with minimal overall career experience, he's managed to go 5-1  with 9 TDs to 3 INTs . That's pretty damn good for  a backup QB.

What I think happened is a bunch of people had a knee jerk reaction to him having a bad game against a great team that has a hellish Dline that nobody on our Oline could block all day long and an elite secondary that was giving him absolutely nothing.

Lets look at his work on the whole and not by 1 game.  Overall he's doing just fine.

Kyle Allen only sees 1 side of the field. He sucks.

Only this guy would be able to see both sides of the field in the time Allen has been given to throw the ball.

Honestly this is the same thing people have said about Cam through the years.  It wasn't true then and it isn't true now.
