crazy how posting valid criticisms and concerns has become "bashing"

well, crazy or convenient depending on how much credit you're willing to give these people

Dude, you haven't put together a full paragraph of actual football discussion pretty much anywhere in this thread.

Hell, you've barely even talked about Kyle Allen, but you've devoted several posts to talking about me. Makes it pretty obvious I'm renting space in your brain.

Want people to take you seriously? Try actually talking about the game and the players instead of being obsessed with other posters.

Makes no difference to me what you do, but that's actually good advice.

Things like that will happen on Twitter. I think a lot of it is people are afraid. I get that. This is an unusual situation. This franchise hasn’t really been through a quarterback issue of this magnitude, ever. We’ve talked about Kerry Collins and Steve B and the Jake/Rodney deal. This is a much bigger deal, and it comes in the digital age.

Oh God, no. Collins quitting on the team was talked about constantly. Much more than any Cam/Kyle debate.  There was true hate for Collins. Considering the Huddle didn't exist in the time of Kerry Collins, it isn't surprising that many don't recall that. Many of our posters probably didn't exist then either lol.

That was a big deal. But social media amplifies everything.

Biggest thing I notice is certain posters that run to defend Allen, all the while would sit back and ignore the crap Cam went through. Would ignore it, and tell those who stood up to those bashers to just ignore the bashers or they’d side with the bashers and call you a cam nut hugger.

These are the so called “reasonable” posters. Some of the same posters who have disappeared and left lol.

Kyle has played admirably. This last game it would not have mattered much who was the quarterback— I mean maybe a Kyler Murray or Russell Wilson who could have added the extra run and escape element.

our defense couldn’t stop a high school team last game and the offensive line got annihilated.

kyle did the best he could with the circumstances.

Hit the nail on the head

There are people here who have never played football at any competitive level, so they don't understand team dynamics in football, much less the game itself from an X's and O's standpoint. They rely on numbers alone and generally have no clue what the hell they're talking about. Don't listen to them.

The tape has been evident on Allen. He's not a world beater, but he's a solid player who is going to keep you out of trouble more often than not. Last week, I said it to a buddy that Allen was just pressing. He didn't look the same. I don't think he got flustered too badly by SF, but he certainly got in his own head and was trying to make something happen, even if it wasn't there (sorta like Cam has done several times, but don't let the Cam fans hear that).

Cam is likely done. He'll have to come out and prove next season that he's worth top QB money. And if we somehow make the playoffs with Allen at QB and even win a playoff game, Cam may not get that chance here. And before anybody says that that is ridiculous, everybody swore Cam was close to getting back on the field and we now know that Cam hasn't been recovering well.

To say Cam hasn’t improved just isn’t the truth. Or else he’d still be in a boot. He was throwing doing five step drops on the field before last game. He wasn’t doing that a few weeks ago.

The double-standardness of this board is hilarious. I really wish Igo would have given us a laugh react

He the one that’s been instigating this the whole time . Then hide behind the fact of “oh i don’t care who the qb long as we winning “ where he been since the San Fran game haven’t seen him much . A lot of clowns been exposing themselves these past 6 weeks

Improved perhaps. To the point of playing no. I didn’t expect him back until after the packers at least and we seem well on target for that if he does play this year.

    • It amuses me how Goff's name the last few years is often used to compare to subpar or underperforming QB's. Now on the surface I get it. But when you look at his numbers he's been the same QB all along. He's improved his completion % but even with the Rams he averaged 63.4. And that Super Bowl he played in they should have won honestly. If we can get a QB as good as Goff I'll be pretty damn pleased.
    • And it remains to be seen if Goff has that ability or not. Plenty of very good QB's like Goff were not able to get over those playoff humps. Matt Ryan, Kirk Cousins, etc. You can still be an upper tier QB and never get over that hurdle. McVay just thought(and hasn't been wrong yet) Goff was never going to be that guy.
    • You literally simply have to think logically for either of those guys. Smith is locked up on a deal for 2025, so we would have to trade for him or he gets cut. Neither of those scenarios are likely in the first place.  Wilson will be 37 in 2025. Why on earth would he have any interest in a situation that is far worse than he was given in Denver and wasn't able to win there? He's a guy that can drop into any ready to win franchise in the NFL and immediately elevate their chances of winning(provided they already have QB issues).  Frankly, that is either speculation that even David Newton should be embarrassed by or it shows how disconnected with reality some people in our organization are.   I do agree with him on getting a veteran QB, however. That's our best chance to keep developing our talent.
