Almost no doubt that Hurney will be here.  The only speculation I have seen regarding his dismissal has been here.  To be honest, with one or two exceptions, he has done a good job.  No really bad contracts, effective drafting, and only one really bad move (keeping Gano over Butker).  

Rivera and company, maybe no so much.  I do think Rivera has to win.  But with or without Rivera, I think Cam will be back next year if he wants to and can still play.  Its actually a good scenario for us.  We bring Cam back, and if he can play well next year, we offer him a good contract.  If not, we part ways and lose nothing.

$21M looks like a huge cap hit... until you start actually looking around the league. It's a middle of the pack cap hit. Cam is set to be the 14th highest QB cap hit in the NFL next year.
