CBS sports reporting on Cam's injury

you can't play grier.  that's completely ridiculous.   we are in the playoff hunt (stop laughing).   you can't send the message we've given up to the other guys on the team.  that's what putting grier in there would do.   they all know how bad he is currently.  he wouldn't be on the team except for the idiot norv turner wanted him.

I'm not so much of a Cam nut huggers to think that Cam was going to make a ton of difference. He hasn't been healthy for awhile. I feel for him and Rivera and co road him into the ground. Still we either win or lose with defense. That's what Riveras job depends on.

According to CBS sports, the foot injury is not improving and he will be out indefinitely. They claim that is why he is going to the foot specialist. I know there is a post already about the injury, but this may up the ante on what the Panthers do. Opinions: who starts the next 8 games if it is as serious as CBS is reporting.

The season is over if this is true....so Grier after the Titans or Allen.. regardless of it's a win or loss?

Horrible take. Not making the huddle better.

The team would have to rebound and beat Tennessee and Green Bay and then would have a chance.

if it’s titans and Falcons but we get destroyed against Green Bay as in another 51-13 then a winning season with no playoffs is almost as disgusting as losing out. The consolation prize being better picks and the coaches gone.

would Tepper be like Tampa and fire Ron and company with a 9-7 record?

we will see.

Why is the season over?  This is a team game, the QB position is important but if the D can get it together we could still have a very good season.  We are 4-1 in Cams absence I'm not ready to call it a season yet, I don't think any of us should be.  Right now you stick with what has worked and that has been Allen!  There is no reason to put Grier in until we have no shot at a playoff spot.

I mean I agree with you...but winning the super bowl is the goal, not getting lucky and squeezing our way in to the playoffs.

Playoff caliber teams, especially in this NFC, would manhandle the Panthers, as a team’ and it won’t be close. A stout run defense along with a top oline are the BASIC requirements for playoffs and we don’t have either.

If we somehow made it you can bet the first game would look like our 49er game. Without a 100% Cam a super bowl is out of the picture.

Yea squeezing into the playoffs and Ron keeping his job so he can roll this great momentum at the end of the season into next year per usual etc etc is possible but meh story is getting old.

the winner of the superbowl is not decided in the regular season. I would rather "squeeze" into the playoffs and hope for the best than decide, at 4-3, to start tanking.  We are going to need quite a run to make the playoffs, and so I wouldn't count us out in the least if we make that happen.  Barring epic collapses all around us, this isn't going to be a year where a team falls into the playoffs at 8-8 or 7-9.

I'm not ready to say we have no chance for the rest of the season / post season.  For now I am all in on Kyle Allen.  Kid can still develop.  Would have liked to have had Cam but he isn't in the cards for the forseable future, so let's play the hand we are dealt and see where it goes.  Keep pounding!
