Bring in Colin Kaepernick, like weeks ago.

We are staring at the fact that Newton is likely going to IR.

We already had a roster spot open, to which Marty reportedly "had a plan" for, only to see nothing happen at the trade deadline.

CK isn't perfect by any means as a player, but we need someone with experience on the roster, if indeed Cam is shut down.

There are no more excuses. Bring him in, fast.

CMC is why you don’t bring him in.  CMC is is a better weapon playing in a traditional offense where he is the primary focus.

We have gone 4-1 with Allen playing his role....and if the defense wasn’t wet garbage against SF the O would have done what they have done.  SF couldn’t stop CMC offense in a “normal” game because they couldn’t stop him in game we barely could run our O because of the D.

So unless CK can stuff the run he doesn’t improve us.

He stinks at football...why cant anyone see this?

I'm not saying yes or not to bringing him in, but this is incorrect.    He went like 16 TD - 4 INT with almost 60% completion his last season in limited time and with literally no help on either side of the football.     People can make whatever excuses they want but the reason he's not playing is NOT performance on the field.

i love how it was like universally recognized before the kneeling that Kap was a 1 read QB who couldnt make every throw and needed an offense tailor made for his skillset and tons of talent around him and that once NFL defenses figured out the read option he wasnt really a threat anymore but ever since the whole collusion case the media pretends he could magically go to any team in need of QB help and make them a contender

CMC is 100% why you bring him in.

If we don't get CMC some help right now, we'll see him follow in Cam's footsteps in less time, because we're already running him into the dirt harder than we rode Cam.

Dude he was decent his first few years before defenses figured him out. 2015 he wasn’t even rated a top 32 QB. 2016 I believe he was ranked 25 out of 32. Why does anyone think 3 years removed from being a bottom third in the league QB he could come back to the NFL and be good? Brett Favre would be better than him

Don’t really think Kaep is the answer. It would take him at least a couple weeks to get comfortable in the offense which would put him starting week 10 at the earliest.

If Cam is out the rest of the season I say stick with Allen and see what we have in him. He’s 5-1 as a starter, has helped keep the team in the playoff race.

It doesn't really matter whether he's good or not.

It's not practical to try to bring in anyone from the outside when you're already midway into the season and ask him to try to become the starter and learn the system on the fly.

if you're talking about a position other than quarterback, maybe. But the guy who's running the whole offense?

Just not realistic...

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
