Yep... among the multitude of frustrations Sunday, this was near the top.  The Niners knew how potent our pass rush and exploited us early with screens while Norv for some reason thought our offense was good enough to not account for a pass rush that could match or exceed ours.

I don't get it either, you have CMC and a bunch of WRs that can get YAC, yet we STILL suck at screens. Imagine what an actual offensive mind could do with this roster.

Kittle is the only 49er I like. Dude is an absolute beast. Best run blocking and pass catching TE in football at the moment, and he fast AF for how big he is.

Exactly... Shanahan ran a host of screen concepts and utilized the RBs, TEs, and WRs.

It is criminal to have CMC and not effectively run screens

We never have ran screens well. The last screen that was effective was Smoke with Steve Smith.

I'll confess up front that this is probably not the most rational statement I've ever made.

But if you would have asked me a week ago whether we were better than the Cardinals, I would have said yes, and especially so on defense.

So lemme just say that if the Niners don't beat them by 30 points or so, I'm gonna be kinda pissed.
