Let me tell you how the rest of the season will go since we are not getting any better.

Tenn- we edge a win out and everyone will say we rebounded.

GB- We get destroyed again by a better team. Oh no we suck again.

ATL- Cam comes back and we trash the Falcons. See guys all we needed was Cam.

NO- We get trashed and all but lose hope for a div title. Oh no fire Rivera

Was- We rebound from the thumping we got last Sunday. There's still hope guys we can do this.

ATL- We win ugly and move on. Well guys it's a win.

SEA- We lose again to a better team. We have to win out.

INDY- We get handled again. Oh no not good we have to beat NO.

NO- We lose two in a row. No wild card for us. Let's fire Rivera.

We end up 9-7. Miss the wild card and to the pit of misery. Rivera keeps his job because it was a "winning" season.

I bet you’re fun at parties.

I think 9-7 is a pretty fair bet.   I sure hope Tepper cleans house anyway.

That's what I'm thinking and could be a big reason there wasn't any movement at the deadline.

Short of winning the conference championship and making an appearance in the Super Bowl, I don't see anyone retaining their job at the end of the year. Two consecutive years with mind-blowing, humiliating blowouts after a bye just can't be glossed over. It's time to move on and Tepper has every reason to do so.

I'm a optimistic most seasons but Rivera and Hurney are like trying to buy our way into the playoffs with confederate dollars.

How I feel about the future...

Not in the sense that I don't think we can win, but more that I just don't want to look too far ahead.

9-7 is miserable draft wise. We’re stuck in this hell of middle round picks. If you don’t make the playoffs you’re better off being in the bottom five.

FWIW I think we split with the Saints and likely beat the Colts. The rest I agree with. So 11-5 but wild card isn’t guaranteed.

In all regards the Saints are better than the 49ers. The Colts maybe but we are playing in their house and they are really good there.

9-7 wouldn't surprise me. It would be very disappointing if that was enough to save Ron's job. All the Tepper talk about winning would be confirmed as just that - talk.

Rivera has a way of winning just enough to save his skin. Cam coming back will give him just enough wins.

Times like this make it really hard to be a fan.

I could never cheer for my team to lose. That's just not in my DNA.

But if you asked me whether I trust the current leadership to guide us to a winning future, the answer is no.

So whadda ya do, man? Whadda ya do?
