I’d call that hanging.  Pete Carrol does got Ron but that series is full of some very close losses though

That becomes a lot less impressive when you look at some of the people he's lost to.

And then of course, there's Kyle Shanahan.

Ron is what he is.  He generally does well vs what is known.  Has seen.  Which is why in rematches his teams almost always play well.....and something as simple as a replacement/backup QB has always caused him issues. 

Why Ron has a good record overall vs Brady, Rodgers, Brees.   Elite QBs but they don’t change really.  Offense goes through them every year. 

Plays Wilson well too despite the losses

They are QB centric teams that really don’t change.

I'd agree he is what he is.

I just don't think he's good enough to pin our future on.

I feel like with Rivera we're always trying to come up with reasons to believe he's better than we think he is or different ways of saying "well, he's really not that bad".

I'd like for us to have a coach where those conversations aren't necessary.

My belief is that if you spend a lot of energy trying to convince people that someone or something isn't "that bad," they probably are.

Yep. As the old saying goes, if you're really that good, you shouldn't have to convince me.

As to this weekend, I don't necessarily want to talk about "panic", but if our defense can't shut down Ryan Tannehill, I'm going to be... concerned.

Friendly reminder as people are acting like we are suddenly the Miami Dolphins. 

1.  The Tenn Titans are statistically the worst rushing attack we have faced this year.  I mean people can talk about them watching all the tape they want of the 49ers.  We can ask Kyle Allen to watch tape of Tom Brady.  Watching tape doesn't magically make people not great at something, great. 

2.  Tenn is an average run defense.  Average run defenses can't slow CMC. 

3.  No team in the NFL gets to the QB better than Carolina.
