There's a big difference between a simple bad game, like what you referenced with the Panthers in 2003, and getting completely and utterly shredded from top to bottom, with nothing positive. (except for Christian McCaffrey, the only legitimate player on the roster anymore)

Ron thought the Steelers game last season was just a bad game. Sh*t happens he said. It's a pattern. There's deep rooted problems with this squad that haven't gone away.

No argument.

I said weeks ago I was paranoid about this season. This past Sunday's game was like watching my nightmares come to life.

We got our ass kicked but I didn’t think the loss was that bad. Could have easily been a more respectable 20-38 type of loss.

Its not as bad as the Steelers game last year. To me says more about Ron than the players to get a 50 burger dropped on him twice in nearly a year with the talent we have. There is something to his teams not performing after a bye week.

A healthy Cam would have made a difference, as would having Little out there. Defensively they just got beat all day.

I wish people would stop rolling with the whole "this weekend's game will tell us everything" bit.

It's hardly ever true.

Correct.

Any team can win any game, any week, and how you "look" in those games means nothing.  Deshaun Watson is 10 times the QB that Jimmy G is, and Jimmy played much better against our defense than Watson did.

Last year we lost to the damn Lions, and a few weeks later played the Saints at home and our defense smothered them in a losing effort.  Of all teams, the Panthers are probably the least predictable in how they'll perform based on previous performances.

It's not panic it's just the same old mediocre product creating disgust and frustration. We kept the same crew and they are producing the same product that made a substanial portion of the fan base want to move in a different direction at the end of last year. The enima this team deserves isnt a panic move, just a long overdue relief of being full of poop for too long.

No panic here.  I've accepted that this year's team is not a very good team and will not make the playoffs.   But keep trying to will them to be better with your unflinching optimism though.  Maybe one day fans can single handily will a team to a championship.
