The only way I can see us making this kind of move is if the Greg Little concussion is far worse than the staff is letting on.

This. Unless we have real concerns about Little's ability to continue playing football, I'd really rather not trade a 1st or 2nd round pick for an aging, injury prone LT.

Two concussions in the matter of a month isn't really concerning to you guys. Next one and he's out a mandatory year...

Trent Williams is a great player and 31 isnt crazy old at all.  He is worth a second and maybe a four year deal worth some cash.  Question is...do we do the deal?  Doubtful with Little in the wings unless they think his concussions will continue.

Here's the other thing with Williams, he's been holding out because he wants a big money deal. If you want to actually get him on the field, not only are you going to have to offer significant trade assets, but then you're also going to have to back up the Brinks truck for an injury prone player on the wrong side of 30.

Like I said before, the only way we should even consider it is if we have serious concerns about Little's football future.

Williams just wants out of Washington is all I've heard. Not that he was asking to be paid more than everyone else.

Who said it isn't concerning?

His contract runs out next year with a cap hit of 14.7 million. If you think we aren't going to have to give the guy a new contract you're living in a fantasy world. You and me would want to get paid too. That's the business of the league. In a normal year that might not be a big deal, but you may want to educate yourself and look at the free agents we have coming up in 2020.

Or you could just keep quoting me with stupid poo.

Are we not looking for a LT? Do we just keep sending Cam out to slaughter every year? Or did I miss your fantasy where a top 10 LT falls to us in the draft.

I'm not totally against a possible OL acquisition, but the harsh unflinching reality is we are not one player away from competing with the best in the league right now. If that historic and embarrassing beatdown from the 49ers with all that time to prepare can't convince you of that then we really don't have anything to talk about.

It's not about one player. It's about filling a void. Just like the Pats do and SF did right before our game. Sanders changed how we were going to defend them. Thus allowing the play action to work. Funny how that happens.

What are we going to do about that void on the DL next year? McCoy is only on a one year deal, KK is a potential cap casualty, and Poe will be on the last year of his contract. They're all also over 30.

The Patriots didn't get to where they are along the OL overnight. Four years ago Brady was getting pummeled by Von Miller in the AFC championship.

I think we can make strides with the offensive line but I'm skeptical we will see much if any signicant difference that could catapult us to the postseason this year.

As concerning as protecting the QB obviously is, we are not going to win much with the state of this run defense.

And exactly why it would be smart to try to win now. Because the next few years are not going to be in the green without major restructuring of contracts.

    • Preach brother.  We have motherfugers in here advocating for danny fuging dimes.  This is how low we have fallen.   His career stats. 24-44-1 With 9 wins his highest ever.  With Barkley 64% 14000 yards passing going over 3000 just 1 fuging time 70 tds 47 ints to go along with 50 fumbles.  50 fuging fumbles   In short he has 1 season over 5 wins.  1.   You mothers are insane if you think he is a good option
    • He's 28, has a great skill set, perfect size and at 6-5 230, pretty dang mobile.  Andy at 38 is probably not coming back--my guess--and Jones needs a change of scenery--The Vikings, Bucs, Seahawks, Lions, etc. found starting QBs in other team's garbage--two of them from our garbage. the system, coaching staff, etc. makes a difference.  I think Jones is a head case right now--if you played behind the OLs he has had and had his WRs--now without Barkely in the backfield-- he has never had what we have here.  I would not make him plan A, but I would bring him in as the backup and draft a guy to compete with Bryce.  That is about as good as you can do in the NFL.  Jones' contract might be an issue--I don't get into that stuff too much.
    • If we could get Danny Dimes for a dime... I'd be happier with the dime.
