This is the first time I've ever heard Rivera say this...

They, just like every other team, are going to do what they always do after a loss...watch the film, evaluate the mistakes, and try to correct them.

So you’re saying that just like every other team, Ron and co. took the time to PROPERLY prepare for the 49ers?

For the record, Rivera said way back in 2015 that he doesn't spend a hundred hours a week in his office like a lot of other coaches do. When the clock hits five, he goes home and he doesn't necessarily think about football again until the following morning.

I never really faulted him for that, but it is one of those things that stays in the back of my mind.

It's basically what gets you a 8-8 team that we are. They said BB slept in his office as a coordinator.

The fact that he has to say that he is not going to blame someone is a bit disingenuous.  He should say that EVERY game.    The new tone is interesting, however.

10-6, he keeps his job

9-7, it is a coin toss--I think no playoffs means new coach.

8-8, Bye bye.

I never heard this before, but I thinking about this earlier.

Obviously you don't need to go full Bill to win a SB, but when you're getting older and you're not as you're used to, you get left further and further behind in a never advancing game.

I don't doubt Ron is a talented Head coach but his advancments as a coach are just getting left further and further behind.

i read somewhere that we have given up 40+ pts 4 times since 2016

if that is correct, that is just friggin awful

NFL network said it was our worst loss (38pts) since 2002.... guess the points we score, garbage time or not, factors in somewhere....

thnking back, we could both be right....
