For the record, Rivera said way back in 2015 that he doesn't spend a hundred hours a week in his office like a lot of other coaches do. When the clock hits five, he goes home and he doesn't necessarily think about football again until the following morning.

I never really faulted him for that, but it is one of those things that stays in the back of my mind.

I'm so glad he finally said it just so everyone in here will finally realize that what he says at the podium means nothing at all.  Now what?  You think he's going to miraculously re-evaluate and revamp his entire coaching strategy and evolve into an elite coach because.....he public took accountability for a loss?  They, just like every other team, are going to do what they always do after a loss...watch the film, evaluate the mistakes, and try to correct them.

speaking only for myself here,  but watching a reality show about a real football team never gave me any warm and fuzzies about what Ron consistently lacks as head coach.

Has there been a more inept coach coming off of a bye in nfl history? Feels like Ron is 0-9 in after bye week games and we get our asses kicked a lot.
