Put yourself in Cam’s shoes. The 49ers defense absolutely destroyed the Panthers offensive line. Kyle Allen was running for his life most of the game. Cam is nursing various injuries, does he even want to come back and play behind a horrible offensive line? If I were him, I’d seriously consider my long term health at this point.

Of course Cam wants to play, competing is what he does. He might not like the idea of getting treated like a piñata but he damn sure wants to be on the field with his teammates.

When a team knows the QB is no serious threat to throw the ball, and that the only real offensive threat is a RB..they can definitely act a bit more aggressive.

I saw more coverage sacks and not navigating the pocket as a cause to most the sacks than actually getting outplayed
