I don’t want to seem cold but he was the worst player on the field today. By far. If he was going to be emotional about his mom and unable to concentrate (and I feel terrible for him regarding that) then he shouldn’t be playing. How could we not recognize this? At the end of the day we need to win games and if a guy is going to be a liability because of a family tragedy, then he needs to step away from the team until he can come back and play at his normal level of play.

Honestly....this whole team, top to bottom, was trash today. Singling Shaq out and attributing it to his personal poo is petty.

Unfair to say that’s why he played poorly when the entire defense played poorly. They did tons of miss direction and got everyone’s eyes looking in the wrong directions. Definitely wasn’t just a Shaq problem...

Luke looked like trash today other than the int he had. The whole defense was trash. CMC was the only player that came to play.

While kinda rough to say out loud, not wrong really.  Shaq had his worst game of the season, and it was obvious after a few series that his head wasnt in the game.  It's not a benching when he has a legit reason for his head to not be in the game, he needed a break.  Fwiw, losing a loved one can affect you in weird ways.  My brother passed away 3 weeks ago, the first few days I was fine and went to work alright, but for some reason like 3 days after he passed it smashed me like a ton of bricks.  You cant really forsee how the grieving process will play out exactly and everyone grieves differently.
