Worst blowout of the Rivera era. Third worst blowout in team history.

Week 17, 2000 season: @Raiders 9-52

Week 12, 2002 season: vs Falcons 0-41

Week 8, 2019 season: @49ers 13-51

Teams that get blown out this badly almost never make the playoffs. It exposes deep rooted problems that permeate deep into the team. Throw out your playoff hopes. Just like what happened last season, this team is cooked.

Not lying there. All teams have to do is max protect, pound the run, and focus on CMC.

The 4 wins were due to the defense now they loss is Kyle Allen's fault. hmmmm….

Maybe it's not a good idea to line your staff with only your best buds because they won't rock the boat if the going gets tough?

What did Sean Payton do for this year? He went out and brought in a sound defensive mind outside his own perceived comfort zone, and the Saints are 7-1 without Brees for multiple games.

Hard to argue with your premise.

I am truly stunned at how that game went....makes me rethink almost everything.

Our defense is nowhere near as good as we thought.  49'ers offense is quite a bit better than thought.  I didn't believe the 49'er defense was that good, boy was I wrong.  I thought the Panthers offensive front had improved measurably, boy was I wrong.  Top to bottom that was an embarrassing performance....no Panthers QB stood a chance in that game.

He had 18 touches for 155 yards. He got his.

Meanwhile, we were 13/25 for 104 yards throwing to WRs today.

I'm more disappointed with the defense than the offense. The offense at least has an excuse. The defense was piss poor and had several instances where they looked like they just didnt care. Shanahan and Coleman killed us in Atlanta and they did it again today

    • Hey guys, remember when we won those meaningless games in 2010 and it cost us the #1 pick and the chance to draft Cam? Oh.... right I get that's more of an extreme example because it got us a HOF caliber QB.  But it's the general concept, you want to win late season games when you have the pieces in place to make a run the next season, we currently are not in that place. Herbert and Sewell are the ones I point to so much, because we literally lost out on 2 franchise different makers by 1 draft slot.  Give us those two players while we still have CMC, Moore, and the rest of the picks we gave up for Bryce, and we'd have been a legit playoff contender the last few years. Draft position matters in the NFL more than any other sport (other than the #1 pick in the NBA in a year with a generational talent).
    • It’s so crazy. If we had a shot for pick 1 and there was some generational player there then yeah maybe I could get behind the draft position argument. I’d say most GMs and coaches aren’t diving into the draft right now. They are trying to win games.
