Fact is I don't care if you are any QB other than Tom Brady; the defense got torched today and set up the 49ers defesne to tee off on our offense.  Klye Allen or Cam Newton would both have looked like sheeet.

Yup, because the door is now open for Cam where is was slammed shut until we lost.  Look, IF Cam can come back and lead this team to wins, I'm all for it.  You know why?  I am a Panthers fan and could give a rats a$$ what color a player is or what college he came from before singing a Panthers contract.  I live in a college dominated area and know how fickle NFL alliances are in many areas.  It's like the freaking wind.  Here's a hint: Buffalo--> Texans--> Raiders.  Yeah, that flimsy!!!!

At no point in my comment did I say he would win THIS game. Kyle Allen needs the defense to be good for us to have a chance to win - Cam is capable of winning games despite the defense laying an egg

This actually happens all the time.  A dude without much film comes in from his backup spot and looks really good for a few weeks handing the ball off to a stud RB, not turning the ball over, etc.

Then there's a couple weeks of film on him and he runs up against a good defense and nothing works anymore.

No real fans celebrate a tail beating but man allen has been bad throwing the ball and i want a healthy Cam. The next big test will be the saints i guess....we better be ready!

Not making excuses for Allen, because he had a ROUGH day, but when you play the #1 or #2 defense on the road it's hard.  Our defense not even putting up a fight, well, that's taking candy from a baby.
