I repeat, Deangelo Williams Isn't The Answer

Deangelo Williams isn't the answer. DeShaun Foster is the starter for a reason. He is obviously the better RB in practice. If Deangelo is on the bench it's because he can't get it done in the NFL and Fox knows it.

Remember that debate? Now replace Denagelo's name with Matt Moore and Fosters name with Delhomme.

While I understand your point, I do not believe that this is quite the same situation.

I am not going to all out disagree, but I think you should reexamine your viewpoint.

edit: Let me just add though that I am leaning more and more towards wanting to see what Moore can do as a starter.

remember when king taharqua insisted that deangelo william's 5+ypc in 2007 was just because deshaun foster was softening up the defense for him?

lol

Yep, which is why I always ignore his posts because even my grandmother knows more about football than he does.

since this thread's reasoning has already been ripped to part, i figured i'd go ahead and pile on top too!

williams then, had massive potential which warranted him a first round selection. moore has a very small fraction of the potential williams had. that's not to say he couldn't become the next brady if given the chance and though very likely he wouldn't be the next brady, he could be a very big improvement on delhomme. but we will never know if he isn't given the chance and since its obvious our playoff chances are over, there's no reason not to give him the chance this season to see what he has. if nothing else, it would prove that he's also worthless like jake and we can get rid of the both of them by next season. otherwise, he's still on the squad next season and if we find out then he's worthless, we possibly lose another season due to horrible QB play.

    • If I’m putting myself in a team’s shoes - you’re looking at these prospects and Warren hits most boxes for a TE with a plus on most. So yeah, he’s a great prospect, no doubt, 1st round talent as a TE. But when I look at him through the lens of that PSU offense, they were running so much through him, I’m not so sure it was beneficial to seeing how he translates.  They were getting him open in the flat, running weird trick plays, and designed a lot of ways to find him on delayed seam routes and such. So a lot was structured around getting him the ball in creative ways to advance the ball, in steady sequences, methodically down the field.  Thing is, yeah he’s catching a ton, is big, and can block, but throw him into an NFL offense in a more traditional sense, he’s gonna be stickied by speedy LBs and big nickels. I just wonder how he is in a more isolated fashion— when he’s just a piece of a greater NFL offense getting shadowed by more talented defenders. I think it could still be great but I have question marks when it’s at the TE position. Will he look no different than other very solid TEs or is he this offensive centerpiece at the position that doesn’t come along often (Bowers, Gronk, Kelce, Witten, TG, etc)? I think he brings a ton and could be one of the safer TE prospects, but what I’m unsure about is if you’re really getting this new age Witten type people are crowning him as. Even if that’s the case, is that worth it? If he wasn’t in PSU’s Franklin/Allar offense, would you be seeing the same output?  More questions than anything - I could get on board with it, but it’s hard for me to really project because of how that offense was (which was so frustrating at times).
    • Twitter sources, but supposedly the Rams want him. He might actually go Round 1.
    • You aren't going to ever get him out of the equation. As he has stated previously, he believes it his right to make the final call on decisions.
