First Round Defense

I keep hearing about SF defense and their first round defense. I started to think about our defense. 

1st Rounder

B. Irvin, G. McCoy, D. Poe. V. Butler, B. Burns, S. Thompson, L. Kuechly and E. Reid

2nd Round 

J. Braberry and D. Jackson (Injured KK Short)

4th Round T. Boston 

UDFA M. Addison (playing like a first rounder)

Not to shabby  8 first rounders on one squad. 

I should also say they play well together.

Wow I totally forgot Mario was UDFA that is crazy. He's been our best pass rusher for the last several years. 

Don't forget Vernon Butler was our 2016 1st round pick and is finally being productive. 

On offense all of our primary weapons are high picks: 

• 1st Round : Olsen, McCaffrey, Moore 
• 2nd Round : Samuel

Shame they can't have Stuart Scott. When it was Berman, Jackson and Scott, that was the best version of Primetime in my opinion.

Heck that's back in the day when SportsCenter was anchored by Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann.

We definitely have talent. But its not just that they're 1st round draft picks, but they're all 25 or younger, except for Dee Ford who is 28. Five first rounders on their defensive line, all playing really well together, with 4 being 25 or younger is rare.
