Luke & Shaq Are A Very Good Pair

Above is an in depth look at the LB corp that helps make Rivera's D so dangerous.  The article focuses on how the linebacking corp has excelled in various coverage techniques and how the rangy linebackers are a key cog in creating one of the leagues best passing defenses in 2019 (Hint: talent, athleticism and some saavy).

Hate to say it, but I think it's possible we might have been better off in the last few seasons had we gone to Thompson sooner.

To be clear, you didn't have to cut Thomas Davis to do that. All you had to do was give Thompson more playing time over him.

Kinda like cutting CJ Anderson to give CAP a better look and then never actually giving CAP a better look. Our staff seems to be of the opinion that aside from injuries you can't make depth chart decisions without making roster changes.

Yep. Also think Rivera's "let them leave on their own terms" mindset was in play as well with regard to Davis.

You ain't know...

Kyle is the G.O.A.T. according to the F-150's

Could we stop using F-150 as a term for racist rednecks? Speaking as a man who’s family has been rednecks from Waxhaw for over 200 years (all the rest of y’all in Waxhaw are carpetbaggers) and who has ancestors that fought in the revolution, I have zero problem with making fun of racists, let’s all do it together, but the F-150 I think is a poor choice for 2 reasons:

1. It implies all racists are rednecks and unfortunately we know better.

2. I think it’s too positive an association. The F-150 is a solid, durable, dependable vehicle that millions of people buy every year. It is a quality vehicle and racism does not deserve to be associated with anything of quality. If we must have an automotive nickname for these types, let’s call them the Pintos, because those things sucked.

A poo philosophy deserves to be associated with a poo car.

Looks like we made the right move this year at least.

people that stereotype in order to denigrate others can safely be ignored.  think positive, be kind to others and fug all the rest.

ps - the ford f150 is indeed a supreme vehicle.  their sales record is indisputable.

Begs the question, are they system LBs who benefit from the scheme and playing next to Luke? Can we let Shaq go after the year, get 90% of the production from Smith or Carter or a mid round draft pick and save ourselves $10M+ in the process? If we can is that worth it or would you play it safe and pay Shaq big money?
