Groin injury for Daley? Williams to LT

I don't expect him to play this week either. As long as Daley can go, we're good

As far as this report, until we hear otherwise I'm not especially concerned about Daley's injury.

I am kinda perturbed at the thought that we'd actually consider sticking Darryl Williams back out there if Daley can't go.

Have we seriously not seen enough of that to know it's a bad idea yet?

You'd think. But nothing surprises me anymore

How telling is it that we would all rather have our 6th round rookie playing in his 3rd game ever start at the ever important LT position, rather than a former All Pro tackle (albeit on the right side)?  Williams just IS NOT a LT.  Period.

What's more telling is that the coaches jump through hoops to make sure our all-pro RT doesn't play RT.

That'd mean moving Moton.

They could reshuffle the entire line, but come hell or high water, Taylor Moton is never moving.

I sometimes think we'd put Matt Paradis at left tackle before we would Moton.

Daley - Van Roten - Paradis - Turner - Moton

That's the best line Cam has ever had I think.

Eeehhhh, that's a reach.

The 2015 line of Oher, Norwell, Ryan Kalil, Turner and Remmers was better.

They definitely had to protect longer given the type of playcalling we were using back then.

Remmers just gives me PTSD bro.

That's a lot of people, though I don't know how fair it is.

Outside of the Super Bowl, he actually wasn't so bad as people remember him being. Hell, when he faced off against JJ Watt for a good portion of the Texans game, he held his own pretty well.

That they didn't adjust to give him help in the Super Bowl was just inexcusable.

Right. But to me that says more about Williams. They think the dropoff from Moton to Williams at RT is so great that's it's worth sacrificing the left.

People forget he did exceptionally well almost that entire season. He had a bad game against a generational speed rusher in his prime in Von Miller in the Super Bowl. I'm not sure Oher did much better either, Demarcus Ware was in Cams face almost as much as Miller was.
