This team has heart and the young guys are getting better.

It's amazing how our perception of the young guys has changed in a year. JB and his staff really have done really well developing these young guys. Also Mitch has been hitting on draft picks which is nice to see.

Biggest concern with this team under Borrego for me is defense. That’s something that is mainly coaching, not talent, and it’s been pretty consistently bad all year, with little signs of improvement. Hopefully it’s just because the team is so young and maybe missing a few pieces but I think it’s a little worrysome for the future under Borrego.

My perception and many others hasn't changed. If anything we are just being proven correct.

So many of us were begging JB to play the young guys over the overpaid vets all last season and JB didn't do it until we were basically out of playoff contention. We then proceeded to go on a nice run to end the year and miss the playoffs by half a game.

If JB would have been smart and played talent over paycheck we would have been the 7th or 8th seed last season.

If you read between the lines, it doesn't sound like Borrego had that option last year.

Before the season started, Kupchak went out of his way to point out that JB had full control of the lineups this season.

Dare I say.... Devonte is gonna be better than Kemba.

Kemba 1st season - 12.1ppg / 4.4 apg / 3.5 rpg / 0.9 stl / 1.8 topg / .305 3pt%
Kemba 2nd season - 17.7ppg / 5.7 apg / 3.5 rpg / 2.0 stl / 1.8 topg / .322 3pt%

Graham 1st season - 4.7ppg / 2.6 apg / 1.4 rpg / 0.5 stl / 0.7 topg / .281 3pt%
Graham 2nd season - 18.8ppg / 7.1 apg / 3.5 rpg / 0.7 stl / 2.8 topg / .414 3pt%
^^^(through 13 games)

IF you pegged Devonte blowing up like this or PJ being where he is in such a short period of time then kudos! Most people wanted the youth movement including myself, but always thought it would be a Bacon, Miles or Monk growth to show us that potential. I didn't think it would come from Devonte. I also was very happy with the PJ pick, but I didn't think he would be this good so early.
