It’s crazy how the “if” ideology towards cams health isn’t used towards KA potential.

What “if” KA sucks and we traded away Cam and wasted away our SB window

I can’t speak for anybody else but I’m absolutely using an if approach to both.  Kyle shows promise but is not yet proven. Cam’s amazing when healthy but is he and/or can he stay that way. The really tricky thing is that both need to play extensively to be evaluated but that’s not practical.

I'm fine with Cam starting IF he is going to be a running threat.  And I don't mean doing stupid things while running with the ball but he needs to be able to truck people on occasion.  If he can't do that then I am hoping Allen can keep playing like he has.

At the same time, I don't see taking Allen out until he loses at least ONE game.   I don't see how anyone can argue that.

Brian Billick, a Super Bowl winning coach, agrees with you.

Said as much on WFNZ today.  Said Cam should assume the backup role and be ready if/when needed

Yeah um no I’d trade Kyle Allen 100x before trading Cam FOH with this nonsense.

I am loving how folks are just convinced Cam is done. Or that he will never be the same. Letting their fear distort their reality. Then they get all testy if they cannot convince you otherwise. lol

I see no reason to believe that once Cam returns, he will be full bore for years to come. Which would mean that Kyle will never be more than a backup plan for us.

Keep Kyle around until his contract becomes prohibitive, then ship him off for whatever we can get. Just the nature of the bidness.

No way to know right now if he's done...but when his legs are gone he's done...

Why? Tom Brady doesn't use his legs. Why does Cam have to?

I am pretty sure Cam will slow down as he ages. But he is a competitor. He is going to do whatever he has to to win games. If he is healthy enough to play QB, he is good enough to take us wherever we want to go.

Cam will always be able to pick up those short yardage plays. That is all the running he needs to worry over.

Cam having to run is the rally cry of the fearful. Too afraid to allow your brain to believe Cam just might be good enough to win without running.

So you're saying that you can't see any reason why a professional athlete who has taken significantly more physical punishment than any other player in the league at his position over the course of his career, would, at age 30, an age where we know from a sample of literally thousands of professional athletes that this is an age when the bodies peak performance and most importantly ability to heal from injury fully begins to decline, might not perform as well going forward as he has in the past?

And that you don't think it's reasonable that people might have or express this concern?

The cry of the realist...he doesn't have to run...that's a false premise...he has to be able to get away...something he had trouble with in first 2 games...he's no Brady so that's not even a relevant point...
