Being reported that Gordon’s expected release is performance related, having nothing to do with him being a locker room problem or having off field issues.

Chad Johnson probably has the right take....and pretty much describes Gordon IMO

While the playbook was difficult to translate, Ochocinco also says that how the Patriots run their offense also didn't cater to his skill set. "It's just their system itself doesn't fit my skill set, what I'm able to do. I'm a predominately outside receiver," he said. "The Patriots system, it runs from the inside out. So every other team in the NFL, your No. 1 is your No. 1 receiver and it works from the outside in. The Patriots are the only offense where the No. 1 star is going to working from the inside out. It's a dink and dunk type of offense that is extremely effective especially with that type of quarterback they have at the helm." Ochocinco is hardly the only veteran wide out to come in and not get in sync with the Patriots as there have been a slew of them over the years from Reggie Wayne to Torry Holt to most recently Eric Decker.

Yes. He’s worth the risk for one year. By all accounts he’s a good guy just has a substance abuse problem. He wouldn’t destroy a locker room.

I would never give him big money obviously.

Yeah and it’s fuging weed. I promise the Patriots have kept him clean. Not sure why they’d want to cut ties honestly he’s a tremendous talent.

One possibility: Maybe they didn't keep him clean, and they know it's gonna show up on a test.

Doubt anybody would put it past the Patriots to sit on that kind of information.

maybe they let him go for the same reason they parted with all the other older big name WRs they brought in...that didn’t work out.

Reoccurring theme

Watch Gordon go to Green Bay
